MASADA TOUR + REHEARSAL DINNER
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22, 2020
EIN GEDI
On Wednesday, we would love you to join us at the Dead Sea for an afternoon tour of Masada followed by dinner in the desert.
A 15 minute drive from Ein Gedi and on a plateau overlooking the Judean Desert, lies the ancient fortress of Masada. Built by King Herod, it is one of the world’s most renowned archeological excavations and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Masada boasts the ruins of luxurious palaces, a bathhouse and swimming pools. Later, it became the Jewish rebel stronghold against Roman rule.

WEEKEND OPTIONS
We understand some of you have made plans for the weekend. We have included many recommendations on this site under the recommendations tab and would be delighted to discuss them with you in more detail. Please note that Israel does not run public transportation on Saturdays.
ACCOMMODATION
TEL AVIV: For Tel Aviv we recommend either an Airbnb or having a look online to find accommodation that suits your preferences and budget. Though some hotel recommendations include:
The Carlton - a large premium option by the beach
The Alexander Hotel - a boutique hotel on the beach
The Drisco or Hotel Montefiori or the The Norman for premium boutique hotel options in the city
Any of the 'Brown' hotels for a premium & trendy stay i.e. brown, polihouse, lighthouse, brown beach
Abraham Hostel - a budget hostel stay but with great vibes and good city location
If you have any questions about areas or hotels that you have found please ask. But keep in mind that Tel Aviv is quite small and so most areas you choose will be convenient.
EIN GEDI: Please find detailed accommodation options for Ein Gedi below.
Ein Gedi Hotel
This is our TOP recommendation. It is the Ein Gedi Hotel, conveniently, a two minute walk from our wedding venue. You will have a special discount if you reserve before March 1st. There are a variety of room types and prices. (Note that there seems to be a decent leap between standard room and superior/ suite room experience).
Rooms and special rates are on a first come, first serve basis!
These prices include an Israeli breakfast as well as free access to the Ein Gedi Synergy Spa

It has communal showers and bathrooms, ping pong tables, a bar and great views.
There are five mattresses per tent.

Other Options
Airbnb - feel free to peruse airbnb in Ein Gedi and see what is available. For convenience we recommend searching for something in the Kibbutz itself as it will be walking distance from our venue.
Ein Bokek - this is an area about a 25 minute drive South from Ein Gedi which has many large scale as well as international beach front hotels. A car will be needed if you choose to stay in this area.
Ein Gedi Youth Hostel - this is about a 10 minute drive from the Kibbutz itself and its prices will be midrange.
